Fundraiser planned to help Dana Callery in her battle with ovarian cancer

(MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa.) – The Friends of Dana Callery will be hosting a benefit on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the William Penn Fire Company, Main Street, Hulmeville, Pa., from 7 p.m. until midnight. The goal is to raise funds to assist Dana Callery, a lifetime Levittown resident, who is battling ovarian cancer. Dana, a veteran of the United States Air Force, served abroad the four years immediately following her 1986 graduation from Neshaminy High School.

The benefit will help raise funds for Dana’s ongoing medical and living expenses as she recovers from her second round of treatments for ovarian cancer. Dana continues to fight with courage and is looking forward to a full recovery.  Monetary donations, raffle items, gift baskets, and gift certificates are being accepted for the benefit. About Dana Callery:

A beautiful soul on the inside and out, Dana is supported with love by a close-knit family and tight circle of friends, most of whom she’s known her entire life. She’s passionate about her two dogs, Sophie and Scooby, and loves traveling, cooking, and all types of culinary experiences. Because of the severity of her recent treatments, the latter has been rather tough for Dana. For the past six months, she’s received all daily nutrition through liquid supplements via a feeding tube that’s directly inserted into her stomach. It is Dana’s wish to improve enough in the next several months so the tube can be removed and she can once again return to the joys of cooking and eating.
