Borough Police Investigate Two Thefts from Rite Aid
Police in Bristol Borough are investigating several recent thefts. One case involves a stolen vacuum.
Recent thefts at the Rite Aid in the Commerce Park shopping center in Bristol Borough are being investigated.
Two women in scrubs stole 2 HD LED television sets and a DVD player from the store, police said. The crime happened last Sunday at around 3:20 p.m.
The first suspect is being described as a light-skinned black female with "blondish red" hair and gray scrubs. Her accomplice was of similar complexion with black curly hair and doned a pink pair of scrubs, according to a police report.
About an hour after the theft on Sunday was reported, the nearby Walmart called police to alert them of a stolen Eureka vacuum cleaner.
The value of the stolen items taken from Rite Aid was about $330. Walmart said the vacuum was worth $98.
Just days later, an unknown subject filled a shopping cart with merchandise and walked out of the same Rite Aid, police said.
The second retail theft, police said, happened on Wednesday just before 2 p.m.
Police did not report whether any of the crimes are believed to be connected.

Why is this considered news? Who cares? No one was hurt and at least the thief is not commiting a felony! Its a small item not a car! I consider the vacuum a clean getaway and the companies rip us off everyday so a little shoplifting wont hurt them or anyone? Unless its from a small mom and pop store then dont tell us about it! I dont feel bad that it happened! Big buisness can write it off and move on to the ne t thing! Btw i didnt do it!

Wow! What a horrible attitude. No matter how big or how small...theft is theft. It impacts all of us. As the "big business" retailers "write it off", the costs that go into increased measures to prevent loss GO UP. This then gets passed on to all of us...who are not stealing merchandise...and we pay the higher prices. If someone broke into your home and stole "small items" from you and made a "clean getaway", would you feel any less violated? Your insurance company would cover the loss, but what if the items were irreplaceable? Please take a moment to evaluate your perspective. It is really skewed...a good example of what is wrong in retail today.
