Bristol Township Uses Casino Cash For Roofing Repairs
A hefty sum of casino grant money will be used to fix deteriorating roofs.
Bristol Township recently approved the use of nearly $100,000 from 2011's casino impact grant money to fix roofs at two municipal buildings.
The township adminstration building and the public works building will be getting the work done, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
The township had to approve to spend the money before 2013 begins.
Bristol's municipal headquarters is on Bath Road and the public works building is on River Road in Croydon.
As part of the 2012 casino grants, Bristol Township was given $220,000 to upgrade emergency radio systems for the town's first responders. Also received was $597,431 to retrofit street lights to new, more efficient LED bulbs.

Why do they get to decide where the money is spent? From what I see thats all a waste of money.. They should take that money and put some sidewalks in the township. How many people are getting hit by cars because there is nowhere to walk safely.I vote sidewalks first.

Why not return it to the Citizens in the form of tax relief. God knows we can use the break!
