County Sets Retrieval Event at Closed Cleaners

The clothing retrieval will be held on Saturday in Fairless Hills.

The county has announced that Consumer Protection officials will be at the Payless Dry Cleaners location at 150 Lincoln Highway in Fairless Hills.

The retrieval event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, the county said.

According to a post on the county’s Facebook, all clothing “items previously found to be unprocessed, have now been removed from the bins and cleaned.”

The county urged those who had clothes at the shuttered cleaners make every attempt to get their belongings.

At the first retrieval event at the end of October, hundreds of people came out to get clothing items that were in the dry cleaners and tailoring shop. Many people who came out were not able their items back.

The business, which boasted a $1.99 special, closed without prior notice.

Bucks County consumer investigator Lynn Hanes said in late October that over 200 complaints have been received about the business’ closing.
