Bucks County Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Gary K. Browndorf, 55, of Morrisville, sat in Newtown District Court on Friday during his preliminary hearing and heard prosecutors make a case that he mistreated a Bristol Township couple, according to a story on PhillyBurbs.com

Browndorf allegedly mishandled and assualted Philip Romanek, 29, and his 36-year-old girlfriend, Samantha Doneker, after taking Romanek, who was hiding the attic, into custody for violating the conditions of his DUI sentence, Philly.com reported.

Several deupties saw the incident and testifyed against Browndorf, PhillyBurbs reported.

Browndorf was arrested in fall and is out of prison on bail.

The 55-year-old will next face trial at the courthouse in Doylestown.
