Driver in Route 413 Crash Transferred to UPenn

Traffic investigators are still probing last Friday's wreck at I-95 and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township.

Police concluded part of their investigation into the minivan and tractor-trailer accident that happened last Friday afternoon at Veterans Highway (Route 413) and I-95.

"Investigation showed the minivan, while exiting I-95, disregarded a red traffic signal at a high rate of speed," Bristol Township Sgt. Chuck Burns said. He added that the "minivan then struck the tractor trailer which was attempting to turn from northbound SR 413 onto I-95."

Police were still investigating the identity of the minivan driver as of Tuesday evening, Burns said. Conflicting information has lead to delays in that portion of the probe.

The minivan driver was taken in serious condition to Aria Torresdale Hospital and later transferred to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was relatively unharmed, officials said.

Traffic on I-95 and Veterans Highway was delays for several hours on Friday due to the crash.
