Ex-Employee Shows Up Drunk, Wants Job Back
A Levittown man was arrested in Lower Southampton after an incident at his former place of employment.
A Levittown man recently discovered one way not to get his job back.
Lower Southampton police said they responded to Sparkle Car Wash last Tuesday for the report that an ex-employee that was on scene was wanted.
Upon arrival, officers recognized the ex-employee and asked him what he was doing there; he said he came to get his job back, police said.
The 28-year-old Levittown resident's speech was slurred, officers could smell alcohol on him and he was unsteady on his feet. He denied driving himself there, but his truck was there with the registration in his name, according to a police report. A breath test by officers registered .39.
After refusing to contact someone to pick up him, the 28-year-old was taken into custody and transported home. He will be cited for public drunkenness via mail, police said.
