What Edgely fire crews arrived to on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday, 1:08 p.m.:

The shed fire in Edgely was caused by an electrical failure, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said Wednesday afternoon.

The New Year's Eve garage fire on Patterson Avenue was actually a detached structure fire. Dippolito said the structure held a sauna. The fire was started by a wood burning stove.

Original story:

The first structure fire of 2013 in Bucks County was reported in the Edgely section of Bristol Township Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were dispatched at 2:33 a.m. for a report of smoke in the area of Edgely Avenue and Route 13, Edgely Fire Co. Deputy Chief Brian Cirard said. "Asst Chief Cavanaugh was first to arrive and found approximately at 10x20 storage shed on fire," he said.

Firefighters from Edgely and Levitown Fire Co. 2 had the blaze under control in about 15 minutes, Cirard said.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the shed fire remains under investigation by the township fire marshal.

On New Year's Eve, fire crews responded to Patterson Avenue in the Levittown section of Bristol Township for a garage fire. No further details on that fire were avaiable Tuesday.
