Flim-Flam Scam, Thefts Reported in Middletown

A list of recent incidents that Middletown Township police reported.

 

Friday, January 25

Retail Theft

A 34-year-old Bensalem woman was cited for the theft of assorted merchandise from the Giant Food Store on New Falls Road.

Saturday, January 26

DUI

A 55-year-old Levittown man was arrested for DUI on Four Leaf Road at 2:19 p.m.

Tuesday, January 29

Flim Flam

A business in the 1300 block of East Lincoln Highway fell victim to a flim-flam scam. A 6-foot-tall white man between the ages of 30 and 40 requested change for a $50 bill. He then asked for the bill back and left. Police reported that the cashier was left $50 short.

Wednesday, January 30

Theft From Vehicle

An unlocked 2010 Honda was entered in the parking lot of the Park Plaza Shopping Center in Levittown between 12:30 and 12:30 p.m. The victim reported a purse containing cash, sunglasses and prescription medication was stolen.

Thursday, January 31

Theft From Vehicle

A red Cannon digital camera was taken from an unlocked Honda parked on Deep Dale Drive East in Levittown. The stolen camera was valued at $85.

Saturday, February 2

Theft

A wallet containing cash and credit cars was taken from a shopper's purse in the Oxford Valley Mall Hollister store at around 5:30 p.m.

Theft

A purse containing cash was taken from the Charlotte Russe in the Oxford Valley Mall at 6:30 p.m. The theft happened while the victim was trying on clothes.
