Full Power Restoration Could Take up to a Week, PECO Says
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, PECO has said that it may take up to a week to restore power to the area.

It may take up to a week to fully restore power to the Bucks County area, according to PECO.
More than 850,000 customers are without power, which makes Hurricane Sandy the most damaging storm in the company's history. Of the 850,000 affected customers, tens of thousands are in the Levittown area.
As if Monday evening, 87 percent of Bristol Township customers did not have power, township manager Bill McCauley said.
On Tuesday morning, Patch readers took to Facebook to report outages throughout the various sections of the community.
PECO is asking customers to call 1-800-841-4141 to report a power outage.

Still nothing in Pinewood,( Tullytown Boro.) Can't find a hotel room. Can't sleep without a cpap. Got 3 hours since 8pm. Monday. Feel like a Katrina victim. Think I will get relocated somewhere that is habitable???? If I were a redlight I could get a generator.

When I am traveling where there is no power, I use an inverter with a car or wheelchair battery. I find that 8-10 hours of sleep does not drain the battery too badly... will still start the car.

power still out in edgely (canal side) on 13. I thought I was prepared. I pretested my generator just before the storm. started on 2 pulls ran fine figured I was set.
did not attempt to start it till this morning (fridge and freezers stayed cold enough and all my lighting is LED based so battery power was sufficient for lighting needs and charging cell phones and gadgets.
it would not start at all. there must have been gunk in the tank (yes it was stabilized fuel but this ethanol fuel is simply horrible !! need to get a diesel generator gasoline is largely useless long term now with ethanol in the fuel. this gunk must have clogged the jets. Grrr so I have to drive back home from work in the morning and pull out my generator backup. 3000watt inverter that I hook up to the minivan engine :-) run the fridge and freezer for a few hours to make sure things stay cold/frozen till power comes back online. Grrrr :-)
SO always prepare and always have backups for your backups :-)
