Police are looking for two suspects that fired four shots in a makeshift apartment on Haines Road. Two bullets struck a man.
The investigation into the Bristol Township shooting that left a 49-year-old man with a bullet to the thigh and ankle continued Wednesday, police said.
Lt. Terry Hughes said officers responded to a possible robbery and shooting in a structure behind My Brothers Pub at 1542 Haines Road in Levittown just after 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The arriving patrol officers found a 49-year-old white male suffering from two gunshot wounds. The man was taken to St. Mary Medical Center by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and treated, Hughes said.
The victim told police that two "younger-looking" black males arrived in two vehicles and shot him. Investigators are not sure if the two men took anything, Hughes said.
The duo were reported to have fled in the two vehicles. One was a four-door, light-colored sedan and Hughes did not have a description of the second vehicle.
Four .380 caliber shell casings were found at the scene, Hughes told Patch.
According to Hughes, the structure where shooting happened in a garage that features a "makeshift" apartment. A sign on the door reads "Beware of Dogs."
Hughes said he could not release further information on the incident and it remained under investigation.
Initial police radio traffic indicated that the men may have fled on foot, but that turned out to be false.
Anyone with further information that could help investigators is urged to call the police tip line at 267-812-3036.
