Coach Arrested in Alleged Sexual Assault of 15-Year-Old Girl
A Levittown youth sports coach has been arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a teenage. Police believe more victims may come forward.
Warning: The following story contains graphic descriptions of sexual acts.
A 34-year-old Falls Township man is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl that was friends with his daughter and a player on a softball team he coached.
Kevin Jones of Fairless Hills was arrested on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor, aggravated assault on a minor, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor. He is currently being held on $2 million bail, Lt. Hank Ward said.
Jones coached for the Levittown American and Levittown Bulldogs girls softball teams, Ward said. Police fear there may be more victims.
According to a criminal complaint filed Monday night, the 34-year-old began the alleged sexual relationship when the girl was just 14 years old.
Police investigation found that the two had exchanged over 1,400 text messages since 2011. Additional messages were exchanged through Facebook.
The two would tell “each other that they love each other hundreds of times, each of which is accentuated by graphics, and contains exaggerated language such as I love you more than anything else in life," the affidavit states.
Photos of the two “posing together as a couple” were found during an audit of the victim’s cell phone, police said.
According to the affidavit, police discovered that Jones routinely identified himself as the victim’s father via Facebook’s private message system. He also said she is the only man she needs, threatened to “kill” any boy that she has interest in and asked her to stay in his room overnight during softball tournaments.
The victim's mother was made aware of the supposed relationship earlier this month. The victim told her sister and mother that she was having a "sexual relationship" with Jones, court records state.
The victim told police the illegal affair began when Jones began "flirting" with the young girl. The girl told police the suspect called her "babydoll."
The victim told investigators she had her first "physical contact," which was a kiss, with her softball coach when Jones drove her home after she spent the evening with the suspect's similarly-aged daughter, the affidavit said.
In the days follow the kiss, the affidavit says, the relationship progressed from kissing to groping. From there, the two engaged in a consensual sexual relationship, which included oral, vaginal and anal sex. The victim told police the acts mostly occurred in the bed of Jones’ Hoover Drive mobile home and no drugs or alcohol were involved.
Just before meeting with police on Wednesday, January 9, the victim texted Jones’ and said, “ I’m sorry Kevin, i love you.” She added, “ I ruined your life, I’m so terribly sorry.”
“Who knows,” Kevin replied.
The criminal affidavit does not indicate whether the girl answered.
"Run, my mom knows,” was the message she sent Jones on Friday, January 11. The suspect said he showed his wife and was not clear what the message meant and contacted a lawyer.
In the days following police interviews on the alleged sexual abuse, the girl sent more than a dozen private Facebook messages telling the 34-year-old married father of two saying that she was “sorry,” “lost right now” and still loved him, court documents said.
Jones told police in an interview with detectives that he would “play fight” with the girl, but she was “like a daughter” to him. He said he “hugged and kissed” the victim in front of her mother and added they both often said they love each other, the affidavit said.
Just hours before police were set to execute a search warrant on Jones mobile home in the 100 block of Hoover Road, it burned to the ground in an early morning blaze.
The fire destroyed everything, including bedding, computers and cellphones that police wanted to collect as evidence.
Fire officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. However, it appears the fire started with the dryer unit.
Police ask anyone with more information to contact them at 215-949-9100.

Must we "wonder" about all the male adults that watch over our children lest they "cross the line"? This man has made it difficult for the upstanding & righteous men, who freely give of their time for intra-mural sports of young boys & girls. Are we coming to the day when only "women" coach "girls" and "men" coach "boys" to try and prevent such incidents? His actions will have effects down the line on more rigid rules and athletic standards to try and keep our children safe!

Men rape little boys too! It is sad to say but parents have to protecf their kids! Invade their privacy as mich as possible, have their passwords to everything, check their phone records, and keep a close eye on who is around your child at all times, coaches or any adults for that matter shouldnt be alone with your child if you can help it, lastly TRUST NOONE!!! We need to do more to protect our children and make sure and keep them safe!!! Always be alert!!! The world is a sad place anymore and wether you want to believe it or not... It can happen to your child!

Why are 14 yr olds on Facebook? Why do they have cell phones that are not just emergency only phones? I agree with Lilly Pad. Parents need to protect their kids. Far too many of these incidents could have been prevented. There are too many ways to access young children through Internet, phones and apps. Parents need to say NO.
This man is a pathetic piece of waste and needs to be behind bars for the rest of his life.

My heart goes out to his wife and kids as well as the 14 year old!! Hi wife and kids were oblivious to all this so please keep that in mind and no judging them. Also please do not allow any bullying as they are all victims here. My heart breaks for them all and before people judge them remember this could have been your child or someone on your family. By that being said, be supportive to the wife, the kids and the 14 year old. Help them all get through this as they need it from everybody. The wife worked full time and was very active with her children and had a very busy life so he had no idea what was happening when she left her home. Please send prayers to everyone an let the healing process begin. It will take time but don't shut them out when they all need it. Xoxo

Who are you telling everyone what to do? We all have minds of our own and will say and do anything I/we want. You speak of the wife and child before speaking of the actual victim of the acts. You know this woman I guess? Just say so instead of just telling everyone what they should do and why. May I also say, It is "with that said" NOT "by that being said". Just shows who's behind the keyboard. Oh and remember, innocent until proven guilty.

Don't judge! This 14yr old is not a "victim" she knew dam well this hole situation was wrong!! THEY BOTH DID! this is embarrassing for both families! You know everyone makes mistakes and to be quiet honest THEY BOTH SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIER ACTIONS! These girls today get away playing "victims" way to easily! It's time that people learn the true meaning of a "victim" LOOK IT UP! I'm in no way saying that this guy walks nor do I feel sorry for him! All I'm saying SHE should be held accountable TOO!!! Both families will never be the same! I feel sad for the other kids in both families! This is AWEFUL for them!

After hearing this story on 4 different stations, the Levittown Patch had more information than they did! That's why this paper is so important to our residents by telling us everything that goes on in our community. The streets "talk" as well as the permant residents.Having the facts from the reporting, we can then respond accordingly to what needs to be done so that this doesn't happen again. Bravo reporters for a job well done and great follow-up!!!

We should all focus on the children and their families and not put hate all over here. Nobody knows what happen behind close doors unless you were there. The children could be reading these comments so let's think of their needs. Please and thank you!!

So sad for all involved -- except the coach. Anyone sick enough to blame the girl knows nothing of the nature of sexual abuse. HE ALONE is the guilty party. The child was VICTIMIZED. Read and learn about these crimes.

Its crazy i know the family very well, kevins wife was my neice i was married to her mothers sister, and what is crazy is that my x wifes sister didnt say anything when kevin dated her daughter when she was underage and he was older then her,I feel that he is a predator and is sick,He needs help,he will def get that when he goes to jail,he is 34 years old and he is looking at girls 14 years old, girls at that age all get crushes on there teachers or coaches ,but its up to the older man or woman to say no this is wrong.IM not saying thats what happened but i do know that the girl was a victim and me knowing kevin he is a sick person,i never liked him cause i never thought he should have been dating my x neice cause she was to young if it had been my daughter i would have done something about it,do the math look and see how old he is and then look at how old his wife is.He is an embarassment to his wifes family and to his family i hope to god they throw the book at him cause if they dont he will continue to be a predator and look and seek out another victim,i know his wife will never take him back .and i know her family will not back him up,he is a compulsive lier and he should not be aloud out. Please if there are any other victims out there come foward and dont be affraid .I know it seems like a scary thing to do but you wont be judged ,he is a predator and you will be safe, just think of what other girls might go through if he is not brought to justice.
