Levittown Man Critically Injured in Motorcycle Wreck [Updated]

A 25-year-old man was hurt in a late night two-vehicle crash in Bristol Township. A Bensalem woman was also involved.

 

 

Monday, 9:21 p.m.:

The victim of the crash remains hospitalized with serious injuries to the lower half of his body, Sgt. Chuck Burns said Monday night.

Burns added that Sunday's crash was the third serious motorcycle crash in Bristol Township in the past month.

Monday, 3:35 p.m.:

Bristol Township police are investigating an accident between a sedan and a motorcycle that occurred late Sunday night on Veterans Highway at the entrance to Wharton Road.

A 25-year-old Levittown man suffered critical injuries after being thrown from his bike and was taken by medical crews to Aria Health Torresdale campus, police said.

Police report that a 2004 Kia sedan made a turn in front of the victim's 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle at 11:45 p.m.

The driver of the Kia, a 45-year-old Bensalem woman, was not injured in the crash and is cooperating with the investigation, Bristol authorities said.

Police closed part of Veterans Highway until early Monday morning as they finished processing the scene.

Persons with information about the crash is asked to speak with Officer Eric Eklund at 267-812-3047.
