Bristol Township council took time at a recent meeting to thank the local heroes who responded during Hurricane Sandy.

The 3rd District, Edgely, Croydon, Newportville and Levittown #2 fire companies were honored along with the Bucks County and Levittown-Fairless Hills rescue squads. Township police and public works crews were also honored by the council. Commendations also thanked the Senior Center and the American Red Cross, who helped distribute supplies and establish a shelter.

What about thanking the sewer workers who worked around the clock so there was no raw sewage all over the streets???? Disgraceful that those men were not mentioned. But you can be damn sure if the streets WERE flooded with raw sewage, YOU WOULD OF HEARD ABOUT IT!!!!!
