Local Toys for Tots Drives Ending Soon

Time is running out to donate to Toys for Tots. One Fairless Hills business is offering free services for some who donate.

The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and Gardner Family Chiropractic in conjunction with 225 Lincoln Properties are collecting new, unwrapped play things as part of the Toys for Tots program.

Dr. Tony Gardner will be collecting toys for the drive through Monday, Dec. 17 at his 225 Lincoln Highway office.

New patients who donate will be treated to a "consultation, spinal exam, report of findings and half hour massage," the doctor said. The services are valued at $150.

"Our office is really looking forward to giving something back to the community. We love to have this opportunity to give our time and talents to people in exchange for their toy donation that will help kids…everybody wins,” he said.

The office asks those interested to call 215-547-1977.

The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad is also collecting toys at the Levittown station at 7405 New Falls Road and the Falls Township building at 48 Makefield Road. The toys will be collected until Sunday, Dec. 9, squad Chief Chris Reif said.

The Toys for Tots program began in 1947 when a Los Angeles Marine distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. The program has grown since.
