After sitting vacant since it closed in 2008, demolition crews took down the old De Grand Diner along Route 13 in Bristol Township.

The diner's parking lot became overgrown with weeds and filled with trash as the years pasted. The front windows were broken and boards slowly filled their place.

What's your reaction to the demolition of the old diner? Tell us in the comments.

Sad the day it closed, was robbed to many times when it was open. So what's the plans for that property now? Dollar store, check cashing, pawn shop, gentlemens club?

Maybe another non profit entity that will pay no fees and no taxes.

While it was clearly necessary, I am so sorry to see it go. We rarely went out to eat when we were kids. I only remember 2 places...the Howard Johnson's on the Turnpike and the DeGrand. I had chicken croquettes!
