NB Rt. 1 in Middletown Closed After Fatal Crash [Updated]

One person is dead and several were hurt after a early-morning accident in Middletown Township.

 

Northbound Route 1 in Middletown was closed after a multi-vehicle accident left one person dead and others injured.

The name of the 25-year-old man killed will the crash is expected to be released afetr his family has been notifyed, police sadid.

As of 6:50 a.m., police remained on the scene of the deadly accident that has shutdown all Northbound lanes of the roadway between Maple Avenue and Business Route 1., PennDOT and county officials confirm.

According to police, the accident happened just before 5 a.m. and involved two vehicles.

Aside from the fatality, the wreck left several people injured, NBC10 reported.

Officials from the Parkland Fire Company are assisting police at the scene.

I just came down route 1 southbound and both North and south bound were clear
