Neshaminy Negotiation Session Yields 'Productive Talks'

In a joint statement, the Neshaminy School Board and Neshaminy Federation of Teachers agreed that they had a productive negotiation session Wednesday night.

 

 

The Neshaminy Federation of Teachers and Neshaminy School Board met in a negotiation session Wednesday that they both agreed yielded "productive talks."

They issued a joint statement in which they said the NFT negotiation team provided the school board with a number of additional questions regarding it's "Council Rock Proposal."

The board was able to answer a number of the NFT's questions and requested some more time to answer the rest of the questions.

Both sides will meet in another negotiation session tonight, Thursday, Sept. 20.

I hope that I am wrong but think that this is an elaborate charade on the part of the NFT. The NSB has manuevered the NFT into a position where they know how badly they will look if they reject/dismiss this offer without appearing to seriously consider it.

The NFT will have to act in such a way that the board will have no choice to pull this offer. When this happens, the NFT will be able to point the finger at the board and blame them.

We will know in a week or so if this prediction has any merit. No one will be happier than I if I am wrong and the NFT is actually bargaining in good faith. I hope that I am wrong.
