Pearl Buck Students Deck the Walls at Pearl S. Buck House 34th Annual Festival of Trees
Students from Neshaminy School District's Pearl Buck Elementary helped decorate the Pearl S. Buck house for the holidays.
Pearl Buck students in grades K-5 were invited to participate in the 34th annual Festival of Trees at the Pearl S. Buck House in Perkasie.
Students in Mrs. McGuigan’s art classes created ornaments for the festival tree, including ceramic doves, pipe cleaner candy canes, paper stained-glass ornaments, and button decorated stars, hearts, and oval ornaments. In addition, every student in the school signed a tree skirt createdby Pearl Buck parent Leslie Maxwell.
The Pearl Buck Elementary School Tree is located on the second floor landing outside of Miss Buck’s bedroom. Local artists, decorators, and Pearl S. Buck fans have been commissioned to design the holiday room décor in hopes of capturing the visitors’ votes for the “Best Display” during the 6-week holiday festival. Each visitor receives a ballot for the holiday decorators’ competition. Please check the website for information.

It is so special for the students from the school named after Pearl S. Buck to be involved like this. What a beautiful connection and way for the children to learn about service and the global world we live in today. Way to go Mrs. McGuigan & Pearl S. Buck Elementary School. The tree you decorated is so beautiful too.
