PECO: Power Restored to Majority of Levittown

Thousands of customers have had power service stored in the past 24 hours.

After a night of blustery temperatures, power crews have restored electric service to thousands more local residents.

Only scattered outages remain the Bristol, Langhorne, Langhorne Manor, Penndel and Tullytown boroughs, according to PECO data.

In Middletown and Falls, the utility company reports that less than 1,500 customers remain without service.

Bristol Township still has several thousands customers in the dark as of Sunday morning, PECO said.

A caravan of utility trucks were seen heading through Langhorne toward the lower portion of the area Sunday morning, Levittown resident Melissa Casey reported on Facebook.

Electric crews worked Sunday morning along Friendly Lane in the Farmbrook neighborhood in Bristol Township, Janet Farides posted.

Throughout the weekend, MREs and bottled water were distributed to the powerless from the parking lot at the James Gallagher Senior Center located on the grounds of the Bristol Township Municipal Complex.

7 days no power - no one at peco to talk to. Peco doesn't care. Bucks county was the least important to peco, and many of us are the least important here. We just get to shiver in the dark. #pecosucks

Not to sound ungrateful to all the folks working so hard to get power back, but it's hard to hear that they are among the very last to be helped!

We just lost our power here in elderberry, had power through the whole storm and it goes out now? I hope it is a planned shut down to connect something else. A curtesy call would have been nice.

Rich - The crews often have to turn out all power in a section to replace a transformer that is damaged.

Still no power in Kenwood, our street is last one in section. We still can not feel our toes. We had crews here all day but one side of our street is still dark.
