Man Struck by Car in Falls Dies [Updated]

A man was struck and killed by a vehicle by the 7-Eleven near the intersection of New Falls and Penn Valley roads Sunday night.

 

 

Tuesday, 7:15 p.m.:

Duk Ki Lee, 71, was the victim of Sunday night's accident along Penn Valley Road, police said Tuesday evening. Click here for more.

Monday, 8:35 a.m.:

Police report the victim, an elderly male in the his 70s, died of injuries sustained after being struck by a car Sunday night.

The driver of the Toyota Corolla that struck the man on Penn Valley Road in the area of New Falls Road is cooperating with investigators and was uninjured.

After receiving reports of a struck pedestrian, Falls Township officers quickly responded and worked to saved the man's life, police said.

The accident occured at a time when rain was moving through the Levittown area. No word on whether the conditions played a role in the incident.

Sunday, 10:52 p.m.:

A man was struck by a vehicle on Penn Valley Road in the area of New Falls Road Sunday night in Falls Township.

The man is in grave condition at the hospital as of late Sunday night, police Lt. Hank Ward said.

The body of the man sat in the street outside the 7-Eleven until emergency personnel from the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad arrived and transported him to St. Mary Medical Center, a Patch reader reported.

Ward said the vehicle that struck the man stayed at the scene.

The incident was reported at around 7:25 p.m., a county official told Patch.

People walking on the roads at night do not realize how difficult it is to see them.
God Bless the person who was the driver of the vehicle and stayed with the person
that was struck. So many just flee. Hope for a good recovery!
