Power Slowly Restored to Sections of Levittown
On Friday, over 20,000 customers remain powerless in the Levittown region.

After days without electricity, service began to return to sections of Levittown and the surrounding area Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Parts of the Vermillion Hills section in Falls and the Red Cedar neighborhood in Bristol Township regained power Thursday after dusk.

Other parts the hard-hit area, including Crabtree, Oaktree and Thornridge, remain in the dark as of Friday morning.
Bristol Township
Nearly 9,000 utility customers in the township remain without power, Emergency Operations Director Kevin Dippolito said. The number is down from 12,000 on Thursday.
Bristol Borough
In nearby Bristol Borough, less than 500 do not have service, according to PECO.
A majority of the power came back on Wednesday and Thursday.
Falls Township
The utility told Falls Township officials Friday morning that 7,600 of the towns customers remain in the dark, board Chairman Bob Harvie told Patch.
Harvie said that all the roads in Thornridge had been cleared so power crews could move into the neighborhood.
Middletown
An official in Middletown said on the phone that 8,754 customers in the township of nearly 40,000 residents remained in the dark.
Langhorne, Langhorne Manor & Penndel boroughs
PECO said that only scattered outages remained in Langhorne and Langhorne Manor boroughs.
Penndel was dealing with less than 500 outages.
Tullytown Borough
Portions of the community remain without electric service. PECO estimates that less than 1,500 customers are impacted.
Extra patrol officers were on the darken street on Thursday, police said.
Reaction from locals
As the outage stretches on, many local residents have begun to share their frustrations.
"I have never seen the power out this long in my life, and I'm starting to wonder if it will ever come back," Lakeside section resident Diana Reiss said.
"Still without power here in North Park. Space heater and a generator kept us warm last night. Worried about the temp drop coming this weekend," Deborah Duffy wrote on Levittown Patch's Facebook page.
Across Bucks County
About 84,000 houses and businesses throughout the county did not have power as of 4 a.m. Friday, the office Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick said.
PECO said on Thursday that they expect to have over 80 percent of customers in the county back with power by Friday night.

Our section of Falls between So. Olds and Wistar Rd. is still in the dark. PECO says power will be restored by 11:00 PM Nov.2. Is 11:00 PM their standard aswer?

PECO automated message told us restoration by 11am on 11/1, then 4pm on 11/2, now it's saying by 6am 11/3. just so happens to be roughly 24hrs. from the point you call...false hope.
We are in bristol twp, bordering falls twp. Roughly 15-20 homes between Queen Anne,Hood,S. Olds.
PECO has to rebuild the power network; replace poles, primaries, step-down transformers.
Good ol' preventive maintenace should be done after this mess is cleared. Like trimming limbs near the power lines!

I'm sure they are doing the best they can with all the damage that is around. I live in Thornridge so I know it's a mess. Peco and the other companies who came here to help would love to be home with their family's. So sit tight another day or two won't kill us. Be Thankful no one was killed.

Power is back on in our neighborhood about 11am. Pike Electric and PECO are on Birch Dr, imagine that hood should be back online tonight.

I think we're the only Street in Magnolia, and that 24 hour figure from PECO auto respondent told us Nov 3rd 6:50pm, called at 4 pm on Nov 2nd! Said 24 houses still out on our St..

Saw intren from union il escorting utility poles off business 1 this afternoon onto oxford valley road. Imagine another hood will be online tonight. After my comment about pike on birch dr that section was powered that evening.
No slack by the utilities. Its an organized effort. Honk for power.

Havent been near trenton rd and oxford valley yet today but last night 7-11 and homes east of that were off the grid. Primary lines appear to move east from the sev along trenton rd and through heavy wooded area across trenton circle. Imagine a downed step-down transformer/snapped pole.
