Several Local Meth Ring Suspects in Court
Several of the Levittown suspects netted in a massive investigation into a meth ring were in court on Wednesday.
Many of the people arrested last week by authorites for their involvement in a massive $3.5 million crystal meth ring were in district court in Penndel on Wednesday.
Several of those charged had their counts waived to county court in Doylestown and others had charges withdrawn and ammended, the Bucks County Courier Times reported in its Thursday print edition.
The arrests of 26 people were announced last week by police and state attorney general. The group was arrested as part of drug investigation “Operation Blowout.”
Authorities said the evidence against those charged was gathered through undercover drug buys, wiretaps and other court-authorized surveillance. A grand jury approved multiple criminal charges for each suspect.
Police seized four pounds of crystal meth, one partially dismantled crystal meth lab, approximately 100 firearms, $110,000 cash and 16 vehicles during their operation.
The drug ring stretched from Mexico to Pennsylvania, authorities said last week.
The Penndel district court of Judge Daniel Baranoski was used for the early court actions.
