Everywhere you looked Saturday in Bristol Borough were groups smiling people.

The loads of people filled the town for Historic Bristol Day.

The 2012 event featured children's activities, trolley tours, antique cars, live entertainment, a sailboat regatta on the river, several exhibits, craft and food vendors and much more.

Tours of many of the riverfront community's historic buildings were offered.

The annexation of the historic Harriman District to the borough is the theme this year, according to organizers. The district was a groundbreaking planned community built for thousands of laborers needed to construct ships during the First World War, BristolHistory.com states.
