Three-Vehicle Crash Follows Police Pursuit
Falls Township police had been pursuing a vehicle that crashed into two others at the Calhoun Street Bridge in Morrisville.
The State Police are looking for witnesses with information regarding a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Morrisville early this morning.
On Feb. 8 at 12:40 a.m., troopers responded to the scene of an accident at the base of the Calhoun Street Bridge.
According to a release, Falls Township police were in pursuit of a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant until it approached the bridge into New Jersey. The pursuit was then terminated.
The Mitsubishi attempted to pass another car headed toward Trenton when it sideswiped that vehicle and crashed head-on into another vehicle driving into Morrisville.
The Mitsubishi’s driver and a passenger exited the disabled vehicle and fled on foot towards New Jersey.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck head-on was a 34-year-old male from Levittown. He was transported by Morrisville EMS to Capital Health Hospital in Trenton with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the sideswiped vehicle was not injured.
