Woman Arrested for Stealing More than $280,000 from Friend's Estate
Cecilia Sarachilli of Bristol was arrested and charged with forgery, theft and related charges.
Bensalem Police arrested a Bristol lady for stealing more than $280,000 from a friend's estate, according to police.
On Friday, Jan. 11, 52-year-old Cecilia Sarachilli of the 600 block of Spring Street in Bristol was arrested by Bensalem Police and charged with forgery, theft and related charges after she allegedly stealing more than $280,000 from an estate of a long time friend, according to police reports.
Sarachilli was Power of Attorney and Executrix of the trust when her friend was placed into an assisted living home back in December 2008. The friend passed away in July 2011.
When the friend went into the home, Sarachilli started stealing more than $180,000 in cash and took out a $100,000 line of credit from a home the friend owned, according to police.
The funds were to be distributed to family members and to two charities—Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Hope for Animals foundation in Morrisville. Instead, Sarachilli decided to spend the money on herself, police said.
In late 2012, Sarachilli voluntarily removed herself as Executrix of the Estate after a petition was filed by two beneficiaries.
Sarachilli was arraigned at Magisterial Judge Joseph Falcone and bail was set at $100,000 or 10 percent bail.

How sad. Hopefully this money can find its way back to the charities these organizations need. Also she should spend the rest of her life in jail and in solitary confinement. I bet she'll learn how to value a friendship then

Placing her into jail is being too kind to her. Instead take everything she owns from her and just leave her with the clothes on her back and cast her out onto the streets. If she gets anything while on the streets__like a cardboard box to live in or a shopping cart__take that away from her also. See how she likes having EVERYTHING taken away from her. Because putting her in prison cost us MONEY and provides her with a roof over her head and meals.

Wow....how amazing, a woman wanting money. I get the feeling that somehow she justified doing this, in her own mind. Is it sexist to suggest, that when a man steals large amounts of money, his underlying motivation is for a woman and when a woman does it, it's for herself? Just throwin it out there.....
