Police in Bristol Borough are looking for a man who knocked a woman to the ground and stole her purse Monday night.

The strong-arm robbery occurred at the Walmart on Commerce Circle at 7:31 p.m., police said.

A suspect knocked the female victim to the ground and stole her purse. He then fled toward Veterans Highway (Route 431) through the Bristol Cemetery, police said.

The suspect is described by officials as being a stocky black male between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a green drawn-string, according to a police press release.

The purse and wallet was valued at $120 and contained $6 in cash.
