Williams Valley 0, Bristol Borough 20 The streets of Bristol Borough were filled with cheers during Saturday afternoon's Christmas Parade as it was announced that the Warriors beat Williams Valley and would be moving onto the championships. The 9-1 Warriors were forced to cancel their annual Thanksgiving Day game against Morrisville in order to be prepared for the Saturday afternoon matchup. An official confirms that the annual Thanksgiving Day football game between Bristol Borough High School and Morrisville High School is off. The tradition, which began in the late 1920s, was canceled because the Bristol Borough Warriors are set to play in the PIAA Class A football playoffs Saturday afternoon in Souderton. As of Wednesday afternoon, a district official said the game will not likely be rescheduled. The Harry S. Neshaminy 17, Central Bucks South 7 The Redskins defeated the 10-2 Titans during Friday night's semi-final in Warrington. The team is now holds a 9-3 record. The Neshaminy boys advance to play Coatsville. Click here to read more on the game. Pennsbury 27, Pennridge 28 The Falcons lost Friday night's game in Upper Bucks County. The team ended their 9-3 season by losing the match up by 1 point. Communication Tech 24, Bristol 27 The 8-1 Warriors won the weekend game by a mere 3 points. The Warriors will take part in a match up against Morrisville on Thanksgiving Day.
Neshaminy 42, Plymouth Whitemarsh 21 The 8-3 Redskins bested Plymouth Whitemarsh during Friday night play in Montgomery County. The Redskins now advance to the face Central Bucks South next week. Click here to read more on the game.  Bayard Rustin 13, Pennsbury 21 Under the Friday night lights at Pennsbury High School, the Falcons swooped into the game a bested the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights. The 9-2 Falcons move on and will play Pennidge next week in Perkasie.
Pennsbury 7, Neshaminy 0 The Falcons blanked the Redskins Saturday afternoon. With near spotless records, the Falcons and 'Skins are moving to the playoffs. The Falcons are 8-2 for the season, while the 'Skins are 7-3. Next weekend, Pennsbury will host West Chester. Neshaminy will play Plymouth Whitemarsh. Click here to read more on the game.   Last Saturday afternoon the Lower Moreland Lions played the Bristol Warriors in a highly anticipated game. The two teams squared off in a matchup featuring the best offense in the league (Bristol) against the league's best defense in LM. The game was a must win for both teams, and ultimately the winner would have the best shot of winning the Bicentennial League title. After a stalemate in the first quarter, Bristol wasted no time to punch in the first touchdown of the game and took the early lead with 11:22 left in the half.   Pennsbury 41, William Tennent 0 Coming off of several wins, the Falcons blasted past the William Tennent Panthers on a chilly Friday night game under the lights in Warminster. Pennington 7, Bristol 19  The Warriors are now 5-1 for the season. Abington 40, Truman 12  After losing to Pennsbury last week, Abington defeated Truman during their Friday night match-up. The Tigers now sit 2-5 for the season.
Abington 9, Pennsbury 35 The Falcons swooped up another win during Saturday night's homecoming game against the Abington Ghosts. Pennsbury now boasts a 4-2 overall record for the season. Despite two out-of-legue losses, the Falcons are undefeated in the Suburban One National League, BucksLocalNews.com pointed out.  The Falcons next play William Tennent in Warminster on Friday.   After a skin infection among some of the Council Rock South football players delayed Friday night's game until Monday, both teams took to Falcon Field Monday night. By the end of the game, Pennsbury had full-heartedly defeated South's Golden Hawks by a score of 28 to 7. The win brings Pennsbury's season-to-date records to 3-2. The Falcons will next play Abington on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Saturday game is the homecoming game.

Week 3 is in the history books for local varsity football teams around the area, with Bristol and Harry S. Truman each coming away from the Friday Night Lights with big wins. Here is a look at some of the scores from the weekend action on the gridiron… Bristol 28, Newhope Solebury 16 Bristol came out on top of 28-16 home victory over visiting New Hope, with the Warriors’ quarterback, Trevor Leone throwing for 90 yards and a touchdown. It’s official. With this past Friday, high school football has kicked off, and only time will tell which teams are left standing in the upcoming months that will magically make that trip to Hershey, Pa. For local fans, it was a mixed up bag of emotions as Pennsbury fell to Easton 32-14; Bristol came up short 38-20 to Communications Tech; and Truman came away with a 13-7 victory over Lincoln.
