Counter Protests in Tullytown Next Week, Pennsbury Students Visit CBS

  • According to LevittownNow.com, a protest in support of Marissa Sargeant and her son, Joseph, is being organized for next Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. in Tullytown. In response to the planned demonstration, a counter protest in support of the borough's police department has been scheduled at the same time by the managers of the recently created Facebook page Support for the Tullytown Police Department.
  • The editorial board of Neshaminy High School's student-run newspaper The Playwickian will meet with school official's Thursday to discuss the decision to ban the use of the word 'Redskins' from the publication, according to Philly.com.
  • Pennsbury High School students and their video production teacher, Dan Mahoney, were the guests of Jon Hitchcock, President and General Manager of CBS3 and CW Philadelphia, on a recent visit to the Philadelphia network affiliate. While there, the students took a guided tour of the station and attended a live broadcast of "Talk Philly," the daily noon talk show on CBS3. They also met privately with news anchors, Pat Ciarrocchi and Ukee Washington, as well as meteorologist, Kate Bilo, for a 20-minute discussion about the industry.
