Mother, Child Stabbed Before Fire, Counter Protest Postponed

Check out what's happening around Levittown today.

  • The Bucks County District Attorney has confirmed to several news outlets that the victims of Monday night's fire at the Avalon Court Apartment in Bristol Township were stabbed to death before the blaze started. David Heckler told Fox 29 that the fire may have been started to conceal the murders of Ebony Tally, 22, and her 4-year-old daughter R'Mani. Heckler could not confirm to LevittownNow.com that Tally was pregnant when she died.
  • A counter protest in support of the Tullytown Police Department has postponed at the department's request, according to the organizers on Support the Tullytown Police Department Facebook page. A protest against the department has been organized for Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. The demonstration is in response to an incident that occurred a few weeks ago when a 14-year-old boy was tased while handcuffed outside the Tullytown Walmart. Police say they tased Joseph Williams because he was running toward the Route 13 and was in danger of getting struck by traffic. Joseph's mother, Marissa Sargeant, posted pictures of her son's bruised face on social media and has announced plans to file an official complaint against the police department.
  • Falls Township's proposed $17 million budget has been posted on the township's website. The board of supervisors will vote on the final budget at the Dec. 17 meeting.
  • We should start seeing some rain today around 2 p.m., building up to some heavy precipitation Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
