The 14-7 vote in favor of not using the school's team name has added spark to the ongoing controversy.
  • A 36-year-old Fairless Hills native was killed in a cougar attack at an animal sanctuary in Portland, Ore., on Saturday, according to 6ABC.com. • Students in the National Junior Honor Society at Charles Boehm Middle School have an annual tradition of paying tribute to local veterans on the Friday before Veterans Day. Prior to hosting a PTO-funded luncheon in the school library, the students conducted their own research on the conflicts in which these veterans served. This year for the first time, eighth grade students at the school wrote thoughtful letters of thanks to the men and women who attended. These were then bundled in individual packets for the guests to take home.
  • Some rain or snow is likely to fall this morning, clearing up in the afternoon. It's going to be a cold one today, with a high near 41, according to the National Weather Service.
