Neshaminy 9U Team Champions!

The Neshaminy Wildcats 9u Travel team capped off an amazing fall season with a dominate performance in the championship game in the Levittown Continental Fall Ball League.  The boys posted a record of 8-2 in the regular season and marched through the playoffs and won the championship game 10-0.

This was the inaugural season of the A division at Levittown Continental which invited travel teams to participate and kept the travel teams facing other travel teams and let the recreational players play other recreational players.  This setting allowed for very competitive baseball in the travel division.

The Neshaminy Boys coming off a successful tournament season entered into the league and were challenged by their coaching staff to play focused, disciplined, and fast paced baseball and the boys responded with hard work an dedicated themselves to improving.   The boys did not allow errant plays to impact their focus and played pitch by pitch making sure that every detail was covered.  All players were consistently ready for anything that the opposing teams threw at them and were playing their positions and taking their backup responsibilities to heart.

During the Championship Game the Neshaminy Pitchers were dominate recording 9 Strikeouts in 5 innings of work.  The defense really stepped up and delivered as well, there were 2 hard hit balls which were immediately gobbled up and runner was held to a double and all other balls that were put into play resulted in put outs.  Disciplined plate appearances, fantastic bunting, timely hitting, and aggressive base running then propelled the boys to victory.  No Game Ball was given after the game to an individual player as all players got on base and contributed in a stellar outing.
