Plant a Seed helps London Smith dance her way to an award!

For the past two years, London Smith has been taking dance classes at the Living Arts Dance Studio in Philadelphia on a scholarship from the Plant a Seed Inspire a Dream Foundation. London, who is 9 years old, has wanted to participate in dance for as long as she can remember and Plant a Seed found a fantastic studio with wonderful instructors for her to learn from. Since London started her lessons two years ago, she has immensely progressed and was recently honored with the studio’s Creative Dance Award.

London’s mother, Tabitha Smith, says that her daughter has become more focused at home and school and she credits London’s positive growth to her regular classes at the Living Arts Dance Studio. She noted, “I would like to say that Plant a Seed really helps to fulfill the dreams of children,” she continued, “there are so many children in situations where they are not able to show what they are made of because often their families can’t afford to have them participate in the programs. Plant a Seed has helped to bring out my daughter’s personality and motivate her and I am so grateful for the support you have given us and the many other little ones in our community.”

Plant a Seed has been partnering with the Living Arts Dance Studio for about two years now and continues to cultivate that relationship because of their talented and caring staff who make it a priority to see their students succeed. Plant a Seed’s goal is to connect young people with positive role models and by working with organizations like the Living Arts Dance Studio, we are continually able to achieve that goal.
