Bristol Business Collecting Food for Less Fortunate

Barking Spyder Board Shop is collecting canned goods and non-perishable items for those in need.

A Bristol Borough board shop is working with an international scooter manufacturer to collect food for those in need in Bucks County.

Barking Spyder Board Shop in Bristol Borough has joined forces with scooter manufacturer Madd Gear USA to gather canned goods and non-perishable items through November 18, according to the shop.

Donated food items will be given to one or more food banks in Bucks County.

Those who donate to the food drive will be entered in a drawing to win a MGP Ninja 4.5 scooter. The store will also donate a MGP Red Pro VX2 scooter to a less fortunate member of the community.

“I am constantly looking for ways to not only give back to the community myself, but to provide these kids with the opportunity to give back too,” store owner Steve Corleto said.

The business owner believes his role in the Bristol Borough and extreme sports community gives him the opportunity to be a role model for kids.

The Mill Street board shop opened in 2008 and has quickly grown to be a must-stop destination for customers from around the East Coast, the business said in a release.

Those wishing to donate can bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to the store, which is located at 207 Mill Street in Bristol Borough.
