Falls Man Lets Lights Shine

Falls Township resident Neil DiSpirito welcomed the holiday season Saturday night by turning on his more than 100,000 lights, inflatables, decorated trees and more.

More than 1,000 people crammed into the WillowWood development in Falls Township Saturday evening eagerly watching on rooftops and atop parents' shoulders for the spirit of Christmas to officially be switched on.

Mr. Spirit himself - Falls homeowner Neil DiSpirito - led a 4-year-old boy in flipping on more than 100,000 lights strung on his 1 White Spruce Lane home and front lawn for DiSpirito's 20th annual holiday lights spectacle.

Spotlights seen from miles away guided out-of-state plates and locals alike to Levittown's WillowWood development Saturday for what took DiSpirito and his helpers eights weeks and lots of long hours to set up.

The lights will remain on through Dec. 28. Each night DiSpirito will choose a child for that night's official switching on. Lights will be illuminated each day from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
