Help Build a House for a Bucks County Veteran

Habitat Bucks is starting now on plans to build a home for a veteran, and the group is looking for help.

The following is a message from Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County:

As Veterans Day approaches, and we stop and remember the sacrifice and service given by the many men and women who have served our nation in uniform, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County is launching a campaign called “The House that Valor Built.” We have an opportunity to honor and partner with those who have given so much for all of us.

Habitat Bucks began construction of five townhomes at Penn Villa in Sellersville in early October. This first cluster will be completed by the summer of 2013.

Following completion of the first cluster, we will begin the second five homes, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2013.  Habitat Bucks has designated one of those homes to be "The House that Valor Built!"

This home will be built for a veteran, and we are reaching out now to garner support from the veteran community, businesses who support veterans, as well as any individuals or groups who would like to join in this endeavor.

There are opportunities to sponsor, volunteer and advocate for this campaign. Construction for this home will begin in the fall of 2013.
