Thunderstorms, Minor Flooding Possible Monday

Keep an umbrella handy as thunderstorms are expected Monday and Tuesday.

Thunderstorms could cause some flooding in poor drainage areas on Monday afternoon, according to a hazardous weather alert from the National Weather Service.

Scattered thunderstorms are also possible Tuesday.

Residents are urged to remove standing water from their property after any storms since it could become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Two mosquitoes in Bristol Township tested positive for West Nile Virus last week and crews will spray to knock down the mosquito population in Falls Township on Tuesday.
