Comedy Central Gives Props to Pennsylvania

A new sketch, “Pawnsylvania,” pokes fun at Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

Suddenly, people can’t get enough of the Philly accent.

The New York Times last week called the Philadelphia accent “arguably the most distinctive, and least imitable, accent in North America,” while also lamenting its slow demise.

Now, the Comedy Central “Kroll Show” has done a sketch, “Pawnsylvania,” poking fun at both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh accents and lifestyles.

Do you think the Philly accent is disappearing? Do the accents on “Pawnsylvania” sound right to you?
