Schuler Hits the Stage Twice for 'The Voice'

The competition is getting tougher for the Lower Makefield native as he hopes to advance to the top 5.

Matthew Schuler had two chances to sing for audience votes Monday night on NBC's The Voice, hoping to prove he deserves a spot in the top 5 and beyond.

The Pennsbury grad chose the first selection, a cover of One Direction's "Story of My Life," dedicating the song to his family and thanking his parents and siblings for their support. Christina Aguilera selected the second song, Percy Sledge's classic "When a Man Loves a Woman," a reliable staple for reality singing competitions.

The audience has until 11 a.m. Tuesday to cast their votes. Two singers have gone home in previous weeks, but only one will be eliminated during Tuesday's results show at 9 p.m. on NBC.

1. By phone, you may vote 10 times per phone line by calling (855) 864-2303.

2. NBC website 10 times per email address.

3. Facebook 10 times per account.

4. Text message the number 5 to 8642 (Sprint users only) 10 times per number.

5. Downloading the songs on iTunes. Each download counts as two votes. If the song reaches the top 10, the downloads count as five votes.
