'Jog For Joints' Event Draws Nearly 500 Participants

"Jog for Joints" promotes the importance of overall bone and joint health and celebrates the accomplishments of orthopedic patients at St. Mary Medical Center.

This year's professionally-timed 5K run and one-mile orthopedic patient reunion walk drew nearly 500 walkers and runners, according to a news release.

The event also included informative speakers, awards and brunch program, a B101 DJ and entertainment, door prizes, autographs and photographs with Philadelphia sports legends.

The featured speakers included Dr. George Cautilli, Medical Director, Joint Replacement Center; Rita Demko, St. Mary nurse and orthopedic joint-replacement patient; retired Philadelphia Eagles punter Sean Landeta and linebacker Garry Cobb; and former Philadelphia Phillies left fielder, Greg Luzinski and pitcher Tommy Greene.
