St. Mary Medical Center Joins Fight Against Cancer
Over 400 people attended 24-hour walk/run to fight cancer and raise cancer prevention awareness.
St. Mary Medical Center sponsored Relay For Life of Bensalem this past Saturday at Bensalem High School.
The 24-hour walk/run was held to help in the fight against cancer and to increase cancer prevention awareness.

The program featured guest speakers and a special luncheon honoring cancer survivors.

State representative Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks, 18th District) was also on hand to speak and lend support to the function.
The event culminated in a celebratory survivors’ lap around the track.
The American Cancer Society was on hand to receive a donated check for $10,000.
All proceeds from the relay will benefit treatment, resources and research for cancer patients.
The event also provided an opportunity for eligible participants who don’t have a personal history of cancer to register for a national landmark cancer prevention study.
More than 400 people were in attendance.
