Sometimes you want a quiet dinner in restaurant, other times you want some good old-fashion greasy goodness and a pint or two of lager. If you are looking the later, Shenanigans Irish Pub is for you.

at 4021 Veterans Highway in Levittown, is a quaint little family-run pub nestled in the center of a strip mall. What it lacks in size it makes up for in heart and affordability. You aren't going to here to eat filet mignon with a glass of chardonnay. No, your coming here if you want to watch the Flyers game, pound back a few Yuengling's and stuff your face with some creature comforts.

Those creature comforts are not just affordable, especially when comparing the prices to similar bars in Levittown, but also some of the best bar food you can find on a night out. You'll find the standards: cheese steaks, burgers, fries and chicken tenders. All fresh, cooked to order and brought out steaming hot. For those without pre-existing heart conditions  or those with the intent of getting one, Shenanigan's has some cardio-vascular challenging concoctions that will test your mettle.

Besides affordability, one of the things that really draws you into Shenanigans is the constant sense of activity. There is always something to do there.

There's quizzo Tuesdays, poker night Thursdays, karaoke every Friday and weekend concerts from local bands. Even the nights when there isn't an event, the owners are always there, usually with the rest of the family, constantly providing a homely atmosphere that is rare to find anywhere else. It is almost the Levittownian equivilent to Cheers -- come there often enough and everybody knows your name.
