Gas Prices Drop Slightly

Find the cheapest gas in the Levittown area.

The current national average retail price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline is $3.297, which is down .3 cent from a week ago, up 4 cents from last month and 9 cents lower than a year ago, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In Pennsylvania, today’s average price of self-serve gasoline is $3.513 per gallon down .9 cent from a week ago, 5.2 cents higher from a month ago and 4.4 cents higher than a year ago. In the Philadelphia market, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.476 per gallon which is down 1.5 cents from a week ago, 1.7 cents lower than a month ago and .8 cent higher than a year ago.

While the national average price at the pump is fractions of a penny less than one week ago and 4 cents more than one month ago, it is 9 cents less than the average price one year ago. The national average has now been cheaper than the same day in 2012 for 11 straight days.

Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.36 at the A Plus Mini Mart located at 8596 New Falls Road, as of Friday, Jan. 18.
