Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce Awards Rare Honor to First Federal of Bucks County Team Member

Jessica J. Sweeney, Vice President of Marketing for First Federal of Bucks County, has been honored by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce as one of its premier volunteers.

Sweeney received the chamber’s Staff Recognition Award, a unique honor that is not presented annually but rather is awarded only when a member of the chamber draws particular notice for superlative work on behalf of the chamber’s volunteer efforts.

The award was presented to Sweeney at the chamber’s annual breakfast meeting, which was sponsored by First Federal of Bucks County, on June 12.

“Jessica is a humble but strong leader,” said chamber president Dan Bates. “She steps in when she sees a need, and gently, but with strength of leadership, does what needs to be done without asking for recognition.”

Jeane Coyle, President and CEO of First Federal of Bucks County, said she and all the bank’s team members were proud that Sweeney had been recognized.

“Going the extra mile is a value that we foster in the culture at First Federal of Bucks County,” Coyle said. “That applies to our relationships with our customers, obviously, but it doesn’t get switched off when we leave the building. No one embodies that value more than Jessica. She represents the bank with integrity and professionalism.”

A native of Lower Bucks County, Sweeney graduated from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. After beginning her career in banking in 1999, she joined First Federal of Bucks County in 2007. Today, she oversees the marketing and communications plan for the bank, including the management and distribution of its many charitable contributions to community groups and initiatives. In 2012, she was named to the Bucks County Courier Times 40 Under 40 list of local business leaders to watch.
