Sterling Properties Hires Leasing Manager, Announces Priority Waitlist for New Transit-Oriented Development in Bordentown

Sterling Properties today announced that it has selected real estate industry veteran Victoria Walters to oversee leasing at Rivergate Bordentown, a transit-oriented community of 159 rental residences currently under development along the Delaware River waterfront in Bordentown, N.J.

As part of her role as Leasing Manager, Walters will compile a priority waitlist designed to provide precedence to the large number of individuals who’ve expressed interest in residing at Rivergate — a four-building complex that will feature an impressive array of features and amenities including elevator access, private parking, an outdoor resort-style swimming pool and an exclusive community clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness studio.

Construction is well underway at Rivergate, which is the first phase of Bordentown’s larger transit village known as the Waterfront Community Development. The community will benefit from a proposed on-site River Line light rail station that will provide convenient access to Trenton with connections to New York City and Philadelphia.

According to Director of Leasing and Marketing Rosanne Brooks, leasing is proposed to begin at Rivergate in late spring 2014. Individuals interested in joining the priority waitlist should call 609-298-0303.

“Victoria has previously overseen leasing at communities that, like Rivergate, have experienced high levels of demand,” Brooks said. “She will bring the level of professionalism and expertise necessary to be part of what is a transformative development for the Bordentown Township. Along with the new River Line train station and other elements of the Waterfront Community Development plan, Rivergate will create an attractive new destination for residents and visitors alike.”

The Waterfront Community Development will see a 98-acre former shipyard site along Route 130 eventually transform into a transit village anchored by the proposed River Line Train station and a mix of more than 600 apartments and townhouses.

The plan also calls for the creation of shops and restaurants, multiple recreations areas, walking and biking trails, a swimming pool and a waterfront boardwalk. The development will feature $11 million in highway improvements to the nearby intersection of Route 130 and Burlington-Bordentown Road.

In addition to being easily accessible to public transportation, Rivergate will be surrounded by a major highway network that puts residents within a 40-minute drive to Center City Philadelphia and an 80-minute drive to Midtown Manhattan.

Bordentown boasts a lively downtown of boutiques, restaurants, cafes and galleries. Other retail options are located on Route 130, including three regional malls located within a 20-minute drive of Rivergate.
