When a borough officer asked the 22-year-old man to step out of the car, he noticed Gale was wearing ladies pants, a stuffed bra, a leather jacket and leather boots, the paper said in a story by reporter Brian Dzenis.

The story states, Gale ran from the officer, who tired to grab the cross-dresser by his pants. Then, the officer got into a wrestling match as he tried to handcuff Gale.

He was arraigned in front of District Justice Daniel Baranoski on charges of aggravated assault, attempting to disarm a police officer and simple assault, court records show.

Gale remains in county jail on 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
