IBC Presents St. Mary Medical Center With $75K Gift

St. Mary Medical Center was presented with a $75,000 gift from the Independence Blue Cross Foundation. 

The funds will be used to support clinical care at the Mother Bachmann Maternity Center and Children’s Health Center, according to a news release. 

The grant will help the Mother Bachmann Maternity Center provide prenatal care to the nearly 500 women and newborns it anticipates it will care for in 2012, and the Children’s Health Center to provide pediatric care to the more than 3,000 children it serves, according to the release.

St. Mary said it acknowledges the importance of community support in meeting the growing need for prenatal and pediatric care for low-income and underinsured families in Bucks County. Both clinics are part of the St. Mary Community Ministries in Bensalem.
