Journey at Patch Ends for Reporter

Patch's Tom Sofield marks his final day.

June 1, 2011: Levittown Woman Rescued From Cliff At Tyler State Park  - Weeks after starting with Patch.com in Bucks County, that was my first byline on the newly minted Levittown Patch. It was the start of the just over 540 stories I’ve covered for the site up until today.

Thursday marks my last day at Patch.com. (This time it’s not a fake out like the last time when I moved to a new position in December.)

I have truly enjoyed being out in the community and learning issues and meeting the people over the past two years and especially over the past six months I’ve served as the site's lead reporter.

From covering a local sweets shop to middle-of-the-night police news - my time at Patch has been a wild ride. One I’ll never forget.

I’d like to thank all the wonderful residents and officials who I have worked with over my time covering your communities.

Starting Friday, Local Editor James Boyle will be taking the helm of Levittown Patch. I'm excited for him to see how great the area is!

Don’t worry about me. I have it on good authority that it won’t be the last time you’ll be seeing me around Levittown.

I can be reached via email (tomsofield@aol.com), Twitter and Linkedin.

I’ll see you around!

Tom Sofield

I would like to say it was amazing watching these future Hall of Famers at 8 years old fightingRead More through the weather and playing the 5 games in 2 days. They were tougher than many of the adults! I remember my days with Levittown American Little League playing in the 8-9 year old division and these boys would have taken us out! It would not have been close. Great Job to all and Congrats to Team Neshaminy...do you know how hard it is to say that as a Pennsbury Grad? I look forward to the next tournament!
