Doylestown Borough police are investigating three separate cases where someone tried to obtain Oxycodone, a narcotic painkiller, from area pharmacies with fake prescriptions. The first report of a fraudulent prescription came on Thursday, April 26, police said, followed by another attempt on Friday, April 27, and Sunday, April 29. Oxycodone, sold under the brand name OxyContin, is increasingly abused in the Central Bucks area, including by teenagers because of the euphoric effects it produces. Six students involved in what some are calling the "Great Food Fight of 2012" at Council Rock North have been suspended and will receive citations charging them with disorderly conduct, according to Newtown Township Police.
