Regional Roundup: Fire Damages Newtown Strip Mall

And the trial date has been set for two men charged with stabbing and killing a Warminster man.

An overnight fire that began at Sarcone’s Deli caused severe damage to a portion of the Newtown Villages Shopping Center on South Eagle Road, including damage to Marco's Pizza and Nail Perfection and Spa.

: Not guilty pleas were entered Tuesday afternoon by the attorneys of two Camden men accused of stabbing and killing Tyrone Newman of Warminster in one of the Bucks Landing apartment buildings last year. Laurie "Turtle" Wint, 23, and John "Jermaine" Briggs, 24, were arraigned in Doylestown and will go to trial May 7.

: Hours before workers began taking down the Hess building at the corner of Second Street Pike and Street Road, the all-volunteer Southampton Fire Company used the building as a training area.
